This bill – which intends to end the practice of Chicago union officials getting pensions based on their union salaries instead of their city salaries – sponsored by Rep. Tom Cross passed out of committee on a vote of 9 -0 this afternoon. The bill may be amended again to exempt certain employees and maybe broaden its applicability beyond the City of Chicago.
